ARCHITECTURAL ALUMINIUM LTD. COMPANY UPDATE, SPRING 2018
INTRODUCTION
Since mid-2017 Architectural Aluminium Ltd. (AAL), a leading external envelope designer, manufacturer and installer in Ireland and the UK, has been progressing through a period of organisational change.
We are currently undergoing a long term organisational improvement programme which includes a management restructure, the implementation of an ERP system (further details below) and various other product & process initiatives with the objective to further improve and expand our product & service offerings to our clients.
Please see below some details and updates on AAL’s activities in recent months.
MANAGEMENT RE-STRUCTURE
As part of an ongoing review into the organisational structure, there have been significant changes made to AAL’s board of management.
This restructure sees Messrs. John Hallahan, Tom Ginty and Ken Green leaving the company. AAL would like to thank them for their service and extend our best wishes to each in their future endeavours.
Mr. Simon Kenny joins as Managing Director and Mr. Bob Lattimore re-joins as Commercial Director.
SYSTEMS IMPLEMENTATION
As part of AAL’s commitment to continuous improvement, we have partnered with a leading Enterprise Resource Planning, (ERP), software consultancy to develop an enterprise data management, processing and recording system. This ERP system is being designed to include bespoke interfaces with our estimating, design, manufacturing, tracking and procurement systems and will facilitate faster and more accurate data processing within the organisation to the benefit of our clients.
AAL is also pleased to announce that we have succeeded in securing grant approval from Enterprise Ireland to assist with the strategic implementation of Building Information Modelling within the organisation.

Project Vista London - Completion 08/03/2018

AAL are proud to announce the completion of the Vista Development in March 2018, a prestigious and landmark development in the heart of London.
(09/03/17) Architectural Aluminium were awarded the Vista Project by Berkerley Homes.
The Vista development consists of 2 blocks of apartments over a single level basement. The 2 blocks are described as Block C (16 storey) and Block L (14 storey). Duplex residential units at basement level are to be located along the perimeter of the sunken garden under Block C while there are to be commercial units under each block at basement level.
Project consists of curtain wall, patio doors, windows, doors, bi-folding doors, louvres, stone rain screen, zinc rain screen, bespoke white glass design, structural steel
Dudley House - London 08/03/2018

Project Name:Dudley House London
Description of Works: The Dudley House Project encompasses the redevelopment of a site adjacent to Paddington train station in London. The project consists of a residential tower (including ground floor retail units and Church) and an adjoining 6 storey School. The contract consists of the manufacture, supply and installation of all components to complete the external façade i.e. Terracotta Cladding, Aluminium Rainscreen Cladding, Glazed windows, doors and glazed curtain walling.

Bob Lattimore - Commercial Director 24/01/2018
Architectural Aluminium Ltd. are pleased to announce that Bob Lattimore has joined the company as Commercial Director.
Bob, a post graduate of Trinity College Dublin has 24 years of experience in the Façade industry both in Ireland and the UK as a quantity surveyor and commercial director. Bob previously worked with Architectural Aluminium Ltd. for 17 years.
Simon Kenny - Managing Director 05/12/2017
Architectural Aluminium Ltd. are pleased to announce that Simon Kenny B.Sc (Eng) C.Eng. has joined the company as Managing Director. Simon was educated in DIT Bolton Street and qualified as a structural engineer. He has specialised in the façade element of buildings and has 20 years’ experience in the construction industry. He previously worked with Architectural Aluminium Ltd. as a designer/engineer from 1995 to 2003 and as operations director for 2 years from 2012. He has also worked as a specialist façade consultant with BFDL and BDA.
Simon will have a controlling interest in Architectural Aluminium Ltd.
We also thank our outgoing MD, John Hallahan, for his service to the company for over 20 years and wish him well in his chosen future.

15-17 Leman Street, London, the development is a 23 storey building, the external façade system being two of our in-house curtain walling systems, the first being stick curtain walling (to Ground Floor level only ) and our Unitised Curtain Walling System to the upper level floors 1st-23rd, also incorporated within the scheme a stone cladding system.
